Quality system adherence and product quality are of paramount importance to Essel. As a trusted partner for customers in Beauty & Cosmetics, Pharma & Health, Food, Home and Oral market categories, we adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Our Quality system, called Harmonized Manufacturing Policy (HMP), includes Quality and Food Safety management systems requirements. Both GMP and HMP are implemented and meticulously followed across all Essel facilities. These systems have been evolved over decades, ensuring consistent Quality of products as well as services to customers.
Essel’s commitment to Quality is demonstrated by setting up a first-of-its-kind certified clean room for manufacturing Pharma category tubes. We are also registered with US FDA for TYPE III DMF, demonstrating the level of commitment to the quality of products and processes.
We undertake comprehensive quality checks and audits at the incoming, in-process and final stages of manufacturing. These checks and tests, uniform across the globe, are called Standard Test Procedures (STP). The STPs are in line with International and national standards for laminates, laminated tubes, plastic tubes and caps & closures.
The tube lots are inspected as per IS 2500 Part 1 (2000) or ISO 2859-1(1999) standards for sampling. Single Sampling Plan for normal inspection is followed to determine lot acceptance.
Continual improvement in Quality Systems is achieved through audits and systematic improvement activities. Trained, certified internal auditors as well as professional external agencies are involved in conducting Quality System audits at defined intervals and the outcome is reviewed by management teams.
